Having used tutoring myself as a catalyst to reaching my academic achievements, I’ve had both great and not so great tutors...and this has lead me to understand how important it is to tailor tutoring around the student and their needs. Tutoring Experience

First Tutors students:

• Recently brought a Grammar school English Lit GCSE student up from averaging 5s to 8s/9s

• From 2020-2021 I have been helping a university student to go from a third to a first on their BA Drama course.

• English Teacher [Secondary and GCSE] for Brampton Manor Trust (credited as the only state academy trust to get more students into Oxbridge than Eton )

• Professional actor (worked with BBC Director Dirk Maggs and Trevor Nunn) and director, leading workshops with actors as artistic director of theatre at the In The Woods Festival for 5 years from 2012-2017.

Tutoring Approach

Covid-19 update : if you require assistance with remote school work or adult learning, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I work with a number of clients on Skype/Zoom and would be happy to assist you. I offer a half price first consultation.

I like to do an initial consultation with students. In this session we talk about goals and the way the learner best learns : whether, for example, through visual prompts, audio, writing or conversation. I then develop a plan with them to both reach their education goals and suit the constraints and opportunities of their lifestyle.
