Hello everyone! I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a B.A (hons) First Class degree in Hispanic Studies, with distinctions in spoken Spanish and Portuguese. As part of my degree I lived and studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in Santiago, Chile. I am a very laid-back person with a passion for languages and an eagerness to help students achieve success. I speak both Spanish and Portuguese and have lived and travelled around many countries in South America. Travelling and language learning are my two biggest passions and I am moving to Canada next year where I hope to continue learning French.
I am also willing to give tuition in Portuguese if there is anybody interested.
I have no formal teaching experience, however I have studied modules relating to second language acquisition and teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I have a lot of patience (which is necessary when learning a language) and am willing to help with any aspect of the language necessary.
I will adapt to the specific needs of the tutee. I don't believe there is one method of learning that every student feels comfortable with. Depending on the individual needs of the tutee, we can set achievable goals and work towards a way of obtaining the best results in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, at the pace of the tutee.
