Hatfield Tutor

My name is Oliver. I am 20 years old and currently studying at the University of Southampton. Overall, I am a friendly, outgoing and hardworking individual who enjoys seeing other people do well. I am a first year student, so having recently finished my A-Levels I have both expertise and experience in the subjects I studied at this level. I can also teach GCSEs, having studied at this level several years ago.

I chose to study Psychology as I find it immensely interesting to learn about the different influences on human behaviour, ranging from behaviours in everyday tasks to behaviours resulting from serious mental disorders. I ultimately seek to go into Educational Psychology. Again, my wish to go into this area of Psychology emphasises the satisfaction I get from seeing others do well and overcome obstacles that may have been preventing them from achieving desired goals.

Whether you just want to pass your subjects, or if you are aiming to achieve the best grade possible, I am confident that I can help you to achieve your academic goals. I believe hard work is key, but actually enjoying what you are studying is even more important. I, as your tutor, will make sure to motivate you, as at the end of the day we can only achieve our optimum in a subject if we are genuinely motivated to do so.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked with other tutoring companies such as Mytutor and Tutorful where I have received positive feedback from students. I have also had the opportunity to work with individuals in a college and have assisted them in their Maths and English studies.

Tutoring Approach

As previously mentioned, my goal is to motivate the student. I will achieve this by ensuring I have a fun, but at the same time sophisticated approach. I do not wish to make the lessons dull and boring, but It is vitally important that we can see improvement throughout the sessions. I will therefore ensure that my time with you is structured; more specifically, I will allocate time to both understanding the content and testing knowledge of it. I believe that tests are the only way to see clear improvement, and are the best way to measure how close you are to achieving your academic goals.
