I am a PhD at Imperial College, studying for a PhD in mechanical engineering concerning the biomechanics of knee replacement surgery. I attained 1st class honours in my masters undergraduate degree from Bristol, also in mechanical engineering.
I live in South West London and I am willing to travel to various locations, depending on the circumstances. Please contact me for any more information!
I have experience tutoring various levels in mathematics and physical sciences. A notable example is my work as a graduate teaching assistant at Imperial, holding 1st year undergraduate mathematics tutorials.
Regardless of age or ability, I aim to build a tutees confidence and explain concepts in a way that is digestible and relatable. More often than not, an alternative explanation to a problem or going back to a level to build up fundamental knowledge will help a tutee progress. Generally, I try to provide what a teacher (particularly in a classroom) cannot; that is, a more tailored, focussed learning process that aims to understand the root of a tutees problems, rather than achieving superficial outcomes.
