My name is Nour and I am a medical student who is enthusiastic about teaching and academia! My teaching style is highly individualised and tailor made, just perfect for you child's ambitions and learning potential! Depending on your child's needs, I am able to dissect their work into different formats, whether that be auditory, visual or in writing. My core belief system when it comes to studying is that you have to make it relevant and interesting. I aspire for all of my students to understand ultimately why they are studying their chosen subject, and how rewarding the end goal can be. Ultimately, topics only make sense and can be fully analysed and applied when key concepts are truly understood.
My three years as a peer mentor at my medical school has equip me with the tools, patience and teaching style to be able to teach complicated concepts in a manageable and simple format. Additionally, I have extensive experience in privately tutoring students across all ages (8-18years).
I aim to help my students improve by identifying gaps and weaknesses in their knowledge, understanding and application of the topic. I think it is important to establish a tailor-based approach to each individual and align this with their own goals and expectations, and if I feel that they could do better, I will encourage them to do so. The resources that I will use for my lessons are varied and utilise various learning techniques. I am happy to create additional resources such as flash cards, diagrams, voice recordings and exam questions.
