I am a native speaker of French. I graduated with a degree (B.A. Hons. equivalent) in English and German applied to international Trade and Business. I have a passion for foreign languages.
I studied English, German, Russian, Norwegian, Swedish and Italian. Languages have played an important role in my life. They have enabled me to visit and live in different countries, to meet people from other cultures and thus to broaden my mind. It has been personally very fulfilling. I am proud of this richness and want to communicate it to others.
I have been a freelance tutor in the UK since June 2005 and previously gave French, English and German tuition as a hobby. I have also have experience as a teacher (French and German) in Secondary Schools as part of my teacher training (PGCE).
I have years of experience in preparing students for exams such as A-level, GCSE, Common Entrance, TEF (test d'Evaluation de Francais), CBLC (Certificate in Business Language Competence), etc.
I teach at all levels (KS1-KS5, beginners, conversation, business, exam preparation, etc) and German from beginners to intermediate/GCSE.
I have been teaching French and German to all age ranges.
I tailor my teaching to each individual's needs. However, I deemed the understanding of grammar important in order to learn another language and my lessons have a mixture of grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. As a language learner myself I know how difficult it could be sometimes to learn another language. I therefore give a lot of personal tips to improve students' learning. I encourage my students and offer support outside the tutorials.
