My name is Nina, I used to be a teaching assistant right after finishing college but then pursued more scientific route and gained Master in Chemistry Research (Distinction) at UCL. After having kids I fell in love in role of passing the knowledge to them and decided to move back to teaching.
I worked as an assistant in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry back in 2000. Then I moved to London and gained my MSci degree in a very demanding course designing synthesis routes for potent antibiotics. My papers have been published in several scientific publications worldwide.
Having had insight into research Chemistry which is quite isolating career per se, and after becoming mum myself, I realised my passion is into passing my knowledge to youngsters, helping them understand the matter and in some of them evoking the desire of breaking into Science world where everything is in the perfect order and actually easily understood by following specific laws. For many Chemistry and other natural Sci subjects are daunting, and I find a big inspiration by breaking that myth and getting kids hooked to Science. I am very friendly and approachable person, and have always had great relationships with my students.
