Hi, My name is Nitin and I work full time as a quantitative analyst in an investment bank. I have a bachelor's Technology in Materials Science and Metallurgical engineering (which is mostly maths and science oriented) from IIT Kanpur. I have more than 10 years of work experience mostly in Finance. I work on creating and maintaining complex mathematical models for a living.
I have always been involved in sharing (and learning from them) knowledge with colleagues and juniors. I take technical sessions to educate the new graduates and help them come to speed with work.
Throughout my work experience I have been helping colleagues and graduates come up-to speed with the knowledge required at work. I love gaining and sharing knowledge so helping student learn and grow in knowledge will give me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction. I intend to just have only a few students so that I can give them my full attention.
I feel that with right motivation and hard work any result is achievable. The key is to make learning an enjoyable process and things would fall into place.
I'd love to know what the student's current level of preparation is; what topics he/she is most confident in; topics he/she isn't as comfortable. This will help me come up with a plan before the first session.
Personality wise I am friendly and patient. I wouldn't mind repeating the things any number of times.
If you feel I could help, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am available weekdays evenings and weekends.
