I am 25 years old, live in Eastbourne and an experienced and friendly English tutor, I have a master’s degree from the University of Brighton and a professional teaching qualification.
Very experienced teacher who has taught thousands of students in English fundamentals, such as grammar, speaking, listening, writing and pronunciation. I am highly qualified, holding Celta – teacher training qualification for teaching English language. After completing the Cambridge Celta course in the top 4% of worldwide graduates I was offered a teaching position at one of the largest and most respected language schools in Europe, where I continue to teach adults and children. I am currently working in Eastbourne teaching students with a range of English proficiency levels (A1 to C1 level) age groups (both adults and juniors) and backgrounds. Also, I have a number of students I tutor on a regular basis.
I am able to develop interactive, tailored and stimulating lessons for students and consistently receive positive student evaluations and feedback. I have achieved the highest satisfaction rate in the whole school, my enthusiastic approach and carefully planned lessons have enabled many young people to achieve more than they had anticipated they would. I use various techniques to help students fully develop their potential. In the past I have helped students to move up from very low levels (level A2) to level B2. All of my students have been delighted with the improvements they have made and all of my new students so far have been referrals. Since graduating from Celta I have attended multiple training and development courses during my teaching career, these have enabled me to sharpen my teaching skills as well as provided insights into diverse teaching methods and structures enabling me to create a bespoke curriculum for all students targeted to their individual requirements.
I make my classes fun and interesting, when you are engaged you will learn. I am very patient and relaxed but will push you to achieve your potential and I make an excellent cup of tea.
I will always teach each student based specifically on their own needs and targets. Firstly I will analyse a student's academic level through an informal chat as well as a short needs analysis test. Once I completely understand each student's ability and requirements, I will create a curriculum based on those demands and long term goals allowing each student move move at their own pace but ultimately achieve their goals.
To make the learning more enjoyable I like to use modern technology to develop and create a range of innovative teaching methods to use alongside the more traditional structures. These techniques were developed and adapted from methods I found helpful when learning languages, for me it was far harder to concentrate and learn during unimaginative lessons so I endeavour to produce the most enjoyable learning experience possible.
