Previously Head of English at two senior schools, I’m currently Deputy Head Academic & Teacher of English and have taught for over twelve years in a variety of exceptional state and independent schools.

I am extremely well-qualified to teach English Literature & Language for multiple exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Cambridge IGCSE.

I teach 11-18 year olds and tutor 4-18 year olds, specialising in GCSE preparation, entrance exam preparation as well as EAL specialist tuition.

I have taught only in 'outstanding' schools in central, north and west London and am consistently committed to ensuring my students excel in their English Language and Literature studies and surpass their own expectations. I adore both English and teaching and aim to ensure my students feel equally positive and energised about the subject.

• I have taught a wide variety of texts and exam boards and, by constantly re-evaluating my teaching style, my lessons are energetic and engaging and take into account each individual student's requirements. My lessons, which have always been rated 'outstanding', are consistently intellectually challenging, and my students always exceed national averages and even often their own projections.

- General English improvement, focusing on spelling, punctuation and grammar. Having taught students with a variety of special learning requirements - including dyslexia and ADHD - I am adept at varying teaching techniques so that learning and progress can be accessed by all.

I am open to both face to face and online sessions.

My tutoring style is interactive and lively; as well as thorough planning and positive reinforcement, I consider each student's individuality and plan sessions accordingly so that no single session seems stagnant.

My vivacious and creative teaching style enables students to find their own confident and secure learning space, while simultaneously having some fun.

I have a 100% success rate in students, preparing for entrance exams, getting into their first choice schools including the top 10 schools in the country.
