Information About Nick - Rugby tutor - (4 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Nick:
I graduated with a 2/i in Chemical Science from Leicester in 1988 and gained a PGCE from Warwick in 1992 after spending the intervening time working as a research scientist.
All sciences and new technologies have always been a passion of mine.
I prefer sessions in the late afternoon but mornings and sessions during holidays and weekends can be arranged if necessary.
I have been teaching Chemistry for the last 25 years over half of that time as Head of Chemistry. I am semi retired from teaching since August 2017 but continue some work with examination boards. Having worked (and still working) as an examiner I understand how the process works and how to achieve the best results possible for you.
I offer one to one tuition at your home, and tailor my tuition to suit your individual needs. Making sure that you have a solid understanding of the essentials is very important in Chemistry. Later ideas and concepts almost always require previous knowledge of the basics learned early in the first year (and at GCSE). It is usual to spend 1-2 hours a week on tuition.
If you are approaching an examination, I can offer blocks of more intensive tuition over one or several days by special arrangement.
