Information About Niamh - Teddington tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Niamh:
I am a teacher of Biology, Environmental Systems and Societies and General Science. I have been a teacher for 8.5 years now and have had experience of GCSE, A-levels, MYP and IB diploma programme. I have been a tutor for a range of pupils in the past. I teach at a private school so I have the luxury of teaching quite small classes anyway but I do enjoy the 1-2-1 aspect of tutoring, as it allows me to truly target areas of weakness so the pupil can deepen their understanding and exam performance.
7 years of full time teaching
2 years of being Head of Science in a school in Leeds (AQA GCSE)
1 year in a comprehensive in Westminster. OCR GCSE and A-level.
1 year of MYP and IB diploma programme
My approach is to be ultra prepared for every session, having ready a variety of different ways to convey the topic to ensure that one will allow the tutee to access the session content. Checking progress is a massive part of my daily teaching and I think it is just as important in tutoring. Ascertaining the exact areas which are proving difficult means every session will be beneficial and productive for both me and the tutee.
