Personal Description:

Originally form Edinburgh, I am a 4th year graduate entry medical student at Newcastle University and already hold an honours degree (2:1) in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh. Since my final year of high school, I have helped as a classroom assistant as well as tutoring in biology to a SG and Higher level in Scotland (equivalent of GCSE and A level, respectively).

I hold highers in Maths (A), Biology (A), Chemistry (A), German (A) and Physics (B), as well as advanced highers in Maths (B) and Biology (B).

I have always had a keen interest in science and would be more than happy to help anyone, from those struggling with a new topic in classes, or those simply looking to revise for upcoming exams. I feel that one-to-one tutoring offers students a different perspective on their studies that they may not have the opportunity to receive in school, and that it is a fantastic opportunity to improve and consolidate existing knowledge.

I am based in Newcastle but would be happy to travel within the Newcastle/Gateshead area at my own expense.

I am also happy to assist people applying for medical school (UKCAT/interview prep/personal statement)

Tutoring Experience:

As mentioned, I have experience as a classroom assistant from when I was younger. More recently, I have been tutoring in chemistry and biology, up to A-level, for over a year now to great success. I have also helped tutor 1st and 2nd year medical students in quite complex topics such as physiology, anatomy and pharmacology.

Tutoring Approach:

I have always had a keen interest in science and would be more than happy to help anyone, from those struggling with a new topic in classes, or those simply looking to revise for upcoming exams. I feel that one-to-one tutoring offers students a different perspective on their studies that they may not have the opportunity to receive in school, and that it is a fantastic opportunity to improve and consolidate existing knowledge.
