Information About Neil - Forest Hill tutor - (4 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Neil:
I've been a fully qualified secondary Mathematics teacher for 15 years. I have held positions of responsibility such as 2ic of Maths, Head of Maths and Assistant Headteacher. I am extremely passionate about my subject and believe that it is vital that all learners obtain the best possible Mathematics education. I also believe that all learners are capable of attaining good Mathematical qualifications given the right learning environment.
During the last 15 years I've taught Maths at all levels within school from KS3 through GCSE and A level up to and including Further A level. I have been judged by Ofsted as an outstanding practitioner on more than one occasion and have always attained excellent exam results for students.
Over the last 15 years I have also privately tutored many students for both GCSE and A level Maths with success on all occasions. I am an enthusiastic and committed individual who is highly skilled in enabling students who are struggling with Maths to be able to progress positively.
I have a very flexible approach to tuition as every learner has different and individual ways of taking on board information. One key aspect of Maths tuition though is to ensure that basic numeracy skills are good and as such I would look to make sure this is in place before proceeding further. If the learner has previously taken examinations and is wishing to retake then I would first look to establish key areas from this that need specific work.
