Information About Nathan - Norwich tutor - (2 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Nathan:
I am currently a teacher of mathematics in a secondary school with over 8 years experience teaching maths to all ages between 11 to 16. I get excellent results with my year 11 classes every year. I am also a GCSE maths exam marker so have good experience of the style of exam questions and how the marks are awarded. I have taught the new maths 9-1 GCSE course so have a good understanding of what is currently required of pupils. I pride myself on my clear explanations and I believe I can get anyone to understand maths! I also offer tutoring for trainee teachers to pass the required QTS skills test.
8 years teaching maths to all secondary age groups, including the new foundation and higher maths GCSE, teaching further maths GCSE and a large number of one to one private tutees.
Relaxed, informal, simple and clear explainations. Student led if they have a clear idea of their own weaknesses, or I can plan a sequence of lessons/ assessments to identify and address key areas of weakness. With year 10 and 11 students I usually base the sessions around exam practise.

We moved from Turkey last year as well. My son needed to understand the system in this country and to understand the different learning styles in Maths
Furthermore, He went to Y5 and Y6 class a total of 10 weeks in this country and passed Y7. By the way he has got a language barrier as well. As a result of his self-confidence was completely shaken.
We met with Nathan at this time and we got along well.
He started the lesson before, he contacted the mathematics teacher at the school to quickly identify the parts of my son who needed help. According to these notes he got afterwards, he started to do an analysis for my son and he organized a work plan.
He always communicates with my son in a friendly, calm and simple manner. He discovered his weakness and strengths areas with a good analysis and re-awakened his interest in mathematics with several maths games.
In addition, my son who lost his habit of doing homework and had anxiety of the exam, began to slowly solve the part of his homework with Nathan. In the following months, I believe that they will solve the exam anxiety related part together. Nathan is a well-experienced, disciplined and creative teacher who is really well organized. My son enjoys working with him. He is really good at his job.
I strongly recommend everyone to work with him.
Thank you in advance for your good cooperation and contribution to my son
I would highly recommend Nathan for both his approach and his expertise - as a current GCSE maths teacher and marker he could not be better qualified to help our son with GCSE maths.
