My name is Tasha and I am currently teaching science at a state secondary school and sixth form. I enjoy teaching and tutoring as it gives me the opportunity to help identify common misconceptions and help students correct them. I try to maintain a calm atmosphere where students are able to feel comfortable and therefore enjoy the learning experience more.
I have been teaching the AQA syllabus for ten years for GCSE sciences and A level Biology.
I have tutored iGCSE Edexcel and AQA for the last eight years and OCR on and off during this time.
If your child is on a different specification then do let me know and I am happy to look it up and adjust, so I am able to support them.
I like to start from the basics and build my way up, depending on the students level. Some students have lots of misconceptions or have misunderstood key science vocabulary causing them to have limitations of the subjects context.
If the student needs support for their exams, I like to do a mini diagnostic test where we work through the questions and answers together, allowing me to accurately gauge if they are struggling with exam technique or the actual content.
