A physics graduate from Durham University, I have a true passion and enthusiasm for the sciences that allows me to convey even the most complex of topics in a fun and engaging way. I studied to Masters degree level where I was responsible for searching for planets outside of our solar system (yes - my search was successful!).
I've worked for 3 years for Barclays Bank in design and technology since graduating, but now, after a year of travelling to study yoga around the world, I am working as a yoga teacher in the city of London. This is another of my passions which I love to share with others!
As part of my Masters degree in physics, I tutored first year students to assist them in their transition from A-level to university physics.
I also spent 2 months in Madagascar tutoring under-privelleged children and adults in a remote area. I taught all my lessons in French.
I have been teaching yoga professionally for 2 years in studios and private sessions.
It's easy to explain even the most complex of subjects when you are in love with the topic! A self-confessed science nerd, I believe in sharing my enthusiasm with physics by making sessions fun and relevant to modern-day physics.
When it comes to tutoring French, speaking practice is the key. I also believe in utilising modern technology to enhance our learning, for example by using language-learning apps to memorise vocabulary. This works especially well for the youth of today who are true digital natives!
