Information About Natalie - Great Missenden tutor - (5 reviews)
This is how 3 referees rated Natalie:
I have been a teacher in local primary schools since 2004. I have worked in a range of primary schools and I have the ability to adjust my teaching styles to meet different pupil needs. I have been part of a senior leadership team for six years and have led Computing in two schools and mentored a number of student teachers.
I began my career working with pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties and then went on to be a key stage 2 class teacher in mainstream schools for over ten years. More recently I was employed by a school to work with children both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis where my sole focus was to improve their Maths and English skills.
I find working with children on a 1:1 basis incredibly rewarding as I am able to give them the time and support they need to fully understand and grasp concepts. I believe tutoring is an excellent way to build and develop confidence in subject areas that some children might find more difficult than others. Working 1:1 allows me to set my teaching at the right pace for each individual, enabling them to learn more effectively and reinforce new skills.
All my teaching years and experiences have shaped me as a teacher and I pride myself in having a calm, patient and clear approach to my pupils’ learning. I tutor from my home in a converted studio room, which is set up to be the perfect learning environment away from all distractions.

In 5 months my daughter has risen to the top grade in her maths class and every week she goes off to do her homework on her own without any help or prompting from me. I have also been told by her teachers that her confidence in the class room has grown greatly.
Natalie has been a pleasure to work with, she has been incredibly flexible when we've had trouble with attending sessions and my daughter loves her dearly.
I'd like to take this time to thank Natalie for all her time and hard work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to another student in the future.
