I am mother to six children ranging from 10 to 22 years of age. I was born to a Spanish mother and an English father, and attended the Lycee from the age of 4 - 18, where i did the Bac S gaining a "mention tres bien," so these three languages have been part of who i am since forever.
I read Spanish and French at King's College London where i was awarded a double first class degree, and upon completion, i went to La Sorbonne to do a Masters in Modern Languages, where i received the equivalent of a First.
I have spent much of the past twenty years working freelance in the city offering simulataneous translation and translation services to corporate clients. In addition, i have tutored many children through their French and Spanish GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and Bac exams with success. Many of my pupils have come to me from a wide range of London schools, St Paul's, Westminster, City of London, King's College Wimbledon, The London Oratory, The Cardinal Vaughn, and several others.
I have helped many students prepare for their Oxbridge entrance examinations, and their personal statements relating to modern languages.
My approach is simple: i enjoy the company of young people hugely, and i hope it shows in my teaching and rapport that i build with so many of my students: it is a partnership and we have a joint goal in mind. I am demanding but understanding: i have high expectations of the work we do together, and share their ambitions: their success is of enormous satisfaction to me.
It is my job to help them achieve their potential in the language, which so often exceeds their own expectations, as well as that of their school.
