I have always found mathematics and the sciences natural to me. I am a Master's student studying Theoretical Physics at the University of St. Andrews. I have a solid understanding of undergraduate physics and I am experienced in topics beyond such as Quantum Field Theory, Group Theory and General Relativity. I was awarded funding via the Laidlaw Scholarship at St. Andrews to research a model exhibiting a Kasteleyn transition in a longitudinal and transverse magnetic field. As of January 2019, I am researching at St. Andrews in charge fluctuations in a double quantum dot for my Master's project.
I have been tutoring since my fifth year at Morgan Academy where I tutored Higher Mathematics while also studying it. I have extensive knowledge and experience tutoring the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
My grades for Advanced Higher are:
A - Physics
A - Maths
B- Chemistry
Higher: 5A's in English, Mathematics and the three sciences.
I let the student work through problems and input as little as possible to make them figure it out on their own. Otherwise I teach the concepts the student finds difficult fully.
For cancellations made within 24 hours of the arranged time, I charge 50% on top of the next lesson.
