I currently hold a B.Sc in Biomedical Science (1st Class) from the University of Bedfordshire, also completing a masters in Blood Sciences. I currently work as a Biomedical Scientist in the NHS in Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology. My academic interests and research area is Infectious Sciences, Molecular Biology and immunology. Overall, I am easy going and very friendly with all people in academia and at work. I have a track record of providing private tuition of more than 8 years.
Much of my teaching skills developed while helping out at a local school and a community centre. This was focused more on primary and secondary level students. Over the past 8 years I nurtured my skills further by teaching many GCSE and A-level students taking mainly Biology and Chemistry. I have worked very close with many teachers and lecturers at school and university where I gained vital key skills in respect to both teaching and learning.
I provide dynamic resources to engage students with the relevant subject and perhaps add to my continual research and learning. Furthermore, I provide extensive past exam papers where relevent to learners. I believe this to be the most important way of learning and understanding the style and nature of exam questions. As well as oral teaching I try to incorporate the information to the learners through various means such as mind maps, flash cards and poster. My teaching style is structured in accordance to the National Curriculum Framework.
