I am a native secondary school Italian teacher with more than seven years of experience in school and privately.
I am patient, enthusiastic and professional. One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is meeting each student's unique needs by developing a personal understanding of each one of them.

Tutoring Experience

I qualified as an Italian and French teacher at Portsmouth University in 2015. I have been teaching Italian from 6 years old to adult - beginners and improvers. With regards to exams, I have prepared students for GCSE and A-level exams in Italian. I also helped prepare students with Oxbridge entry for Modern Languages.
As well as being a teacher, I am also an examiner for Edexcel. For GCSE and A-Level, my aim is to transfer key exam skills to students, including strategies to tackle the different exam components and 'need-to-know' information.

Tutoring Approach

I think that language learning should be fun and have had a genuine passion for languages since I was little. I can offer language teaching through play for younger children, and for older children more formal tuition practising speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. With regards to GCSE and A-levels, I can teach specific exam boards including Edexcel and AQA. I have enjoyed teaching students over the years by using materials to suit each individual learner. I help my students to get the most out of classes both during the lessons and provide them with strategies to consolidate learning on their own. Over my seven years as a teacher, I have created a bank of resources for teaching at all levels.
