I am an undergraduate student studying Medicine at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring Secondary level to GCSE and Foundation in London for 6 years.
'Top in the world' award for IGCSE Maths for scoring 100%, in addition to 8 A* in all my GCSE's. I also got 4 A*'s in my 4 A levels ( Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics). I scored in the top 2% in the BMAT medical admission test.
I am Egyptian so I have also experienced the university application process as an overseas international student which is much more demanding than the home students one, and will be able to help and advise with medical school applications including interviews and writing personal statements. I also speak fluent Arabic.
I generally love teaching and have participated in my school's Peer Tutoring scheme as a tutor. I also teach my younger brother and sister as well as colleagues back in school as well as university. I tutor in London for over 6 years. Capable of tutoring in Arabic or English equally.
I like to simplify everything to begin with to make sure the basics are understood, and the progressively work my way through the more challenging material. I like to ask a lot of questions to keep my tutee focused and engaged and then look at past paper questions at the end of a lesson to solidify the material and help the tutee understand how the material will be examined. I also like to briefly summarise every small section in a big chapter. I aim to make subjects more interesting and intriguing for my students to allow them to enjoy and have a self-drive to excel and achieve the top grades that they seek.
