Personal Description:

I have read music notation and performed keyboard instruments from the age of three and have been a teacher since 2003. I have made multiple recordings for record **Web Address Removed** and Radio appearances, toured the USA and Canada and performed at distinguished venues such as the Albert Hall and for the Royal Family.

My music production and remix work has been released on record labels in both the UK and USA, I have composed music for charity video campaigns, had my compositions performed in Parliament and at venues such as the Institute for Contemporary Arts, London and have exhibited sound installations in London and Kent.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in Further and Higher Education since 2003, from Entry levels through to Level 6 (final year degree level), with students aged 16 to 60+. I have experience teaching the UK primary music curriculum, keyboard skills and singing to approximately 500 children, ages 4 to 11, in multiple primary schools in Kent. In addition I have experience delivering Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT and am currently the programme lead for the RSL Music Practitioner Study Programme at Waterloo for NEET 16-18 year olds.

I have taught and assisted students with needs including visual impairment, autism / Asperger’s, physical impairment due to injury, depression, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, Down’s syndrome, memory disorder, quadriplegia, schizophrenia and others; I have also been a DSA funded mental health support tutor.

I have completed Safeguarding, Health and Safety in the Workplace and Prevent training, have been a member of the Institute For Learning and am a current member of both The Society for Education and Training, and The Musicians' Union.

Amongst others, my students have achieved distinctions in ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School grades, as well as BTEC and AS / A Levels, HND and BA (Hons) qualifications.

Tutoring Approach:

I can deliver one to ones sessions in students' own homes or to small groups at students' own homes. For theory lessons to adults, I can deliver in an agreed venue, such as a coffee shop. Lessons via online services, such as Skype, are available for most subjects.
