I am a active professional musician and music educator. With a busy and varied gig schedule, I teach Composition and Music Technology during the week at a number of institutions.

Tutoring Experience

For the over fifteen years, I have worked in various schools and colleges delivering Music Technology A-level, BTEC and Rockschool qualifications, supporting GCSE and A-level Music students with Composition and Performance. I have attended multiple CPD courses in both Music Technology and Composition, and have worked as an examiner for Edexcel.

Tutoring Approach

Given my decade in education, I have developed a personal, friendly approach to helping the student identify what areas they would like to focus on, as well as helping them achieve an overall rounded view of the subject. I use technology to assist and complement my teaching, and use my professional experience as a performer, composer and teacher to give the student the benefit of my knowledge.
