I am a Maths graduate with many years of work experience in both industry and education.
As well as being a qualified teacher I have run my own businesses and worked for major blue-chip companies at a high level.
I am able to offer tuition up to A Level in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and up to GCSE in Philosophy.
I currently have availability.
I am a flexible and patient tutor who has seen many different students over the years and am familiar with all the challenges they face. In addition to just learning the subject to pass an exam I encourage a deeper understanding and passion for learning that extends beyond the immediate subject and into their education in general.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I have taught at all levels including University. I have tutored the full range of students, from infants learning to count right through to Master''s students completing their dissertations.
I take great personal satisfaction in helping people access what can often seem a daunting and difficult subject and giving them the skills and confidence to make more progress than they thought was possible.
In the first instance (except for very young children) I always assess the student's current ability at the first appointment. From this, I produce a tailored learning plan for each student that addresses both the areas that they need boosting and - often more importantly - areas that they have misunderstood in the past.
Where appropriate I will do a series of revision sessions to help with exam preparation.
I aim to make the sessions enjoyable but intensive - it may only be an hour but real success will only be achieved if the student takes the specific learning and utilises it in his or her course work and timetabled lessons.
