I am a native Spanish tutor with 40 years teaching experience.
I moved to England in 1970 and I have been living and teaching in the UK ever since.
I retired from full time employment in Further Education in 2010, since then I’m enjoying offering private tuition from Primary to Post-A level.
During the last 24 years I worked in one of the largest colleges in the North West, since 1993 as Head of Modern Languages.
I am honest, reliable, hard working and passionate about teaching Spanish. Both my GCSE and A level examinations success rate have been consistently well above the national average.
I am a member of the Institute for Learning.
I have been teaching Spanish for 40 years at all levels from Primary to Post-A level, both examination lead courses and leisure courses.
During the last six years I have taught Primary School teachers how to teach Spanish, both the language and methodology.
I consistently achieve grade one on my Teaching Observations.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching Spanish. I am extremely motivated, patient, friendly and encouraging with all of my students regardless of age and ability.
I aim to make the sessions enjoyable, using a variety of innovative teaching methods and teaching resources, which aid students in developing their language skills. Activities will differ depending on the age and level of the student.
During the sessions, I try and ensure the student is speaking Spanish as much as possible with emphasis on pronunciation. However, I will plan the sessions according to what YOU want to achieve, creating a learning package that is bespoke to YOU.
Please note: Fees for adults will vary subject to students’ level. These fees apply when the tutee travels to me.
