I am a 30 year old teacher from the UK who is currently living in the South of Italy. I have a passion for sports, food and literature!
I've been teaching for 7 years in the English school system, and tutoring since I started university in 2004.
I am a current AQA examiner, marking this year for both the old A spec and the new specification papers so I am familiar with the requirements for students to do well in examinations.
Recent feedback (shared with permission):
We wanted to let you know that NAME did very well with her Biology A-Level achieving a Grade B overall which was fantastic. You may remember she re-took Bio2 at AS and scored an impressive A (108) (up from the original D) which took her up from a C to B overall. At A2 she achieved 114 in Bio4 and 84 in Bio5 with 43 for the written investigation (Bio6) so a really comfortable and solid B. She has achieved the grades she needed (AAB) for her first choice uni - Reading - and will be studying Psychology there from September.
I know you will be as pleased as we are that she did exceptionally well in the two papers you helped her with most i.e. Bio2 and Bio4, so thank you so much for all your assistance and patience. Although she is a really hard worker, the sessions with you really did make all the difference as she went into the exams with confidence and a real understanding of the topics and how to answer them well.
Wishing you all the best for the future.
With kind regards and our sincere thanks,
