This is how 2 referees rated Michelle:
A very experienced classroom practitioner in both Mathematics and Economics, I have been a former Head of Department in a leading grammar school as well as an Assistant Head, in charge of Teaching & Learning for a number of years. However, my true passion has always lain in the classroom; hence, the decision to return full time to teaching as a private tutor.
Graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge University with a good class honours degree in Economics, initially I worked in the City of London before switching career path to teaching. Since gaining my PGCE, I have been both tutoring and teaching in a classroom for the past 25 years and am happy to offer individual as well as small group sessions in both Mathematics and Economics. Rated as `outstanding` by both OFSTED and ISI for classroom teaching, I have an excellent track record of adding `value added` to your son/daughter`s examination performance. I have taught in both state and private schools and I am able to teach both Mathematics and Economics from any of the examination boards. I have also taught the IB, STEP and Oxford Entrance papers.
Engaging, enthusiastic and energetic, I ensure that tuition is not about over complicating simple things, but simplifying the complicated things. I teach Mathematics and Economics from Year 6 to Year 13 (including Oxbridge entry). I guarantee that your son/daughters' skills and abilities will be stretched and challenged whilst simultaneously, I will be helping to develop and enhance their confidence so that they are happy to tackle even the hardest problems that they may encounter. Learning without limits is central to my teaching philosophy; your son/daughter is guaranteed to make excellent progress under my care! Testimonials/references can be supplied to support this claim.
