I am a qualified teacher starting a Master's degree this year, so am looking to tutor children around my studies.
I gained my PGCE at the University of East Anglia, and have taught in a primary in Suffolk for six years. During this time I have taught throughout key stage two with a specialism in Computing.
Outside of classroom teaching, I have also prepared students for music theory exams, aural and sight reading as part of Trinity and ABRSM examinations.
I believe in a clear assessment of where pupils strengths and areas of improvement lie. This gives a starting point based on what is really understood by the pupil. Assessment will be through questions and conversations as well as quick exercises to check understanding.
When teaching, I like to engage the pupil's interests wherever possible, meaning for a more enjoyable and memorable experience of learning. I ask carefully targeted questions throughout sessions to deepen students' understanding of the subject area.

Michael is alway reliable, would highly recommend him.
Michael is very friendly, personable and extremely polite. I’ve already recommended him to other friends who would like to learn to sing, improve their existing singing, or just have a ‘refresh’ of things learnt previously.
Super guy and an excellent singing teacher.
