I am a private tutor - a law student at the London School of Economics. Outside of my work and studies I enjoy all things music-related.
I am always eager to pass on my enthusiasm for my subjects to today's young people. I recognise the strength behind developing my student's own academic interests, and aim to kindle these interests by engaging them in a way that suits them.
As well as bolstering my student's knowledge of their subject content, I develop a student’s exam technique, essay writing and time management, since these factors are vital in securing top grades in forthcoming examinations.
I secured 3A*'s in English, Politics and Economics at A-level and enjoy writing articles on these topics in my spare time.
I have experience tutoring individuals from primary school age through to GCSE, and in the past year I have helped students surpass their predicted grades, achieving As and A*s at GCSE and scoring well in their 11+ exams, which have encouraged them to set about their academic tasks with a more vigour.
Topics I have taught recently:
Plays - Shakespeare (e.g. Romeo and Juliet, Measure for Measure, Much Ado About Nothing) A Doll's House, An Inspector Calls.
Books - Gothic Literature (e.g.: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Jekyll and Hyde, The Yellow Wallpaper, Dracula, Frankenstein, A light in August, American Psycho, Vathek, Northanger Abbey).
I am able to teach a range of vital components, including creative/descriptive writing, grammar and syntax.
Entrance Exams (11+, 13+)
Politics IGCSE and Government and Politics A-level
