Maths and English Tuition in Falkirk

Hi there, I am a fully qualified, GTCS registered Primary School Teacher. I am incredibly dedicated and passionate about education and believe strongly in the impact excellent educational experience have on children and young people.

I can provide a wide range of learning experience which is centred around the learner and their specific needs. These lessons will be carefully planned and ensure tutees are developing key skills and knowledge whilst feeling supported and confident.

I can also provide additional learning activities to carry out independently at home to further develop tutees progress and attainment. I can mark and provide feedback on those activities during follow up visits or via email.

If you would like to find out more about my experience and approach, there is more information written below. Also feel free to contact me through this website to find out more about the tutoring package I can offer. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tutoring Experience

I graduated from Strathclyde University in 2017 receiving my post graduate qualification in Primary Education. Since then I have been employed full time by Falkirk Council as a class teacher and have worked in schools in various roles for the past 8+ years. I have taught various year groups with a wide range of levels and abilities. Over this time I have developed a vast range of teaching skills and took part in regular CPD and training courses. In particular, I have focussed on Numeracy & Maths and Literacy approaches.

Previous to this, I completed my Bachelor of Science with honours degree in Psychology from the University of Stirling. This has been extremely valuable experience and knowledge when working with children and young people over the past 4 years.

Tutoring Approach

I can provide a tailor made programme for your child which is strategically planned and linked to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

My previous experience means that I am able to identify the level your child is working at and believe that with high expectations combined with a nurturing approach any child can make progress.

I can adapt my teaching and learning to meet the needs of any learner to ensure progress is made and the learner develops skills, knowledge and confidence.

I can provide additional materials for tutees to work on independently at home which I will happily provide feedback on in the following session or through email.
