I'm an experienced, engaging, creative tutor currently based in Cambridge, where I am a graduate research student. I have studied at Oxford, where I did my undergraduate degree in History, and received a prize for my work. I have also studied as a Visiting Fellow in the Graduate School at Princeton University, and am currently on a scholarship at Cambridge. I was born and raised in Madrid, and speak Spanish and German aside from English.
I have been tutoring for five years now, and am the former director of a tutoring company, which I managed in Spain before resuming graduate study. I have tutored IGCSE and A Level English, History and Art History, and have helped numerous students with UK university applications and interviews. I have ample references which I am willing to provide.
Although I am a results-driven tutor, I pride myself on inspiring in my students a genuine curiosity for the subject I'm teaching. I'm an extremely good motivator, but also a discerning and constructive critic when this is required. I teach History, English and Spanish and also specialise in university admissions preparation.
I like to make my lessons creative, engaging and thorough. I am goal-oriented and am committed to helping my students reach their academic targets without stifling their personal intellectual and creative interests.
