Personal Description:

I am a graduate in Mechanical Engineering through which I have developed an excellent understanding in maths and physical sciences. As well as my degree I have A Levels in all the sciences (minus biology) and as I have continued this through uni I am comfortable tutoring these up to A level. As I have now graduated with a first class degree I can also tutor mechanical engineering up to bachelors level.
I can explain both complicated and simple problems in easy and varied terms to help people of all abilities. I demonstrate both excellent patience or can run through topics very quickly to suit the needs of any tutee and all sessions are tailored specifically for each student.
I am understanding and approachable.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored GCSE maths previously when a family friend was struggling I helped them get the grade they wanted. It was very rewarding and helped me improve my tutoring. I have also taught guitar before to several friends, an achievement I am particularly proud of as one of them is now a very good player in several bands after only a couple of years.
When I was at university I used to teach a group of friends in sessions before exams and go through anything people didn't understand but I did which again helped me learn how to teach.

Tutoring Approach:

My sessions never have a set structure and we will go through whatever the tutee believes to be their weakness. With each question or type of question I go through several different approaches to find the one that resonates most with that particular student and, having found that, do several examples and practice questions. With students practicing for a particular exam I ask they complete a past paper at some point before the session so that we can go through the questions they didn't know or any mistakes they have made.
As I can tutor is several sciences and maths I am very willing to tutor multiple subjects in one session or over multiple sessions with the same student.
With degree level Mech-Eng tutoring I would prefer a pre-warning of the subjects you wish to study so I can read over my notes and come prepared as I can't promise perfect knowledge of the whole course without revision.
