I am 19 years old and I'm currently an undergraduate at University College London studying Mathematics. I took my GCSEs at Salendine Nook High School where I achieved 4 A*s, 5 As and a B. I also achieved an A in the OCR FSMQ (Free Standing Maths Qualification) I then went on to Greenhead College where I studied Maths, Further Maths and Computing in which I achieved 2 A*s and and A respectively, plus an A in AS level Physics. I enjoy playing Football and Squash in my spare time.

Although this is my first role as a paid tutor, I took part in a mentoring program at college, where I spent an hour a week running through some of the trickier parts if the course with a student who was resitting exams I had already taken. In addition to that I also helped a friend of mine who was taking certain exams in a later exam period than me. Both of these things gave me experience in getting the content across to a tutee well, whilst being patient and engaging.

As I said above, I'm a patient person. I understand that not everybody understands concepts straight away, however I do believe that it is a matter of explaining the content in numerous different ways if neccessary, as different people think in different ways. Once somebody starts to understand things, their confidence and motivation to learn improves, which is vital when preparing for exams in any subject.
