I am an experienced Maths teacher and Head of Maths who have been teaching Mathematics for over 8 years. A graduate from Cambridge University, I'm an enthusiastic, fun and passionate teacher. I am very effective at teaching my subject; at the same time I ensure the subject stays interesting and engaging for my students. Tutees’ progress are constantly monitored and reviewed, lessons are tailored to their individual needs and parents are kept abreast weekly. A variety of resources are used, including interactive electronic lesson slides, games, hands-on objects, exclusive past entrance and exam papers, etc. Lessons can be pitched beyond the National Curriculum level or can be used as consolidation or preparation for school Maths work. Proven track record for achieving predicted GCSE grades, 11+ and 13+ entrance exams and successfully gaining admission places in prestigious high schools such as St. Paul's, Tiffin's Boys, Latymer, City of London, etc.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Mathematics and Education Studies, and a Master of Education in Mathematics Education at Cambridge University. I had various experiences teaching during and before my university studies. I have been a private tutor for many years for children ranging from KS2 to GCSE level. Before I became a full-time tutor, I was Head of Mathematics in an independent school in Chelsea and worked as a teacher of Mathematics in several state/independent English schools.
I have some unique techniques and effective recources to raise students' mathematical ability and clarify their understanding in the subject. I ensure my students learn under a fun but efficient way. I have in-depth knowledge and a variety of methods on how to help students understand key mathematical concepts, in particular, students who have gaps or misconceptions in their understanding.
