This is how 2 referees rated Matthew:
I am an enthusiastic, experienced and successful primary school teacher available evenings, weekends and School holidays offering private tuition from your home. I am a very outgoing, friendly and approachable person and have always endeavoured for the best for myself and this is replicated in what I strive to achieve for the children I teach.
Currently, I am in my fifth year of teaching and in that time have gained extensive experience teaching the primary curriculum across both Key Stages. Presently, I am a Year 5 class teacher. In addition to my current role, I am a school Mentor for trainee teachers enrolled on the PGCE programme. I have vast experience working with children of all abilities and needs and adapt my teaching style accordingly, to ensure I meet the individual needs of each child. I am experienced in working with children whom are gifted and talented, autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
I have a great passion for teaching and strongly believe that each child can achieve outstanding results with the appropriate stimulus and support. I am passionate about making sure that my teaching motivates and inspires children to reach their maximum potential and have been assessed as outstanding in various areas of teaching throughout my teaching career. I am an extremely motivated and enthusiastic individual and display an utmost commitment to the children that I teach. Throughout my teaching career, I have a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for the children that I have taught.
The first tutoring session will focus upon a discussion to uncover the needs of your child. Following this, I will then make an assessment to locate the gaps in their learning and prepare and plan a programme of study to fit the requirements of your child. This programme of work will then be the focus for future tuition sessions.

Matthew is very professional, organised, reliable, prompt, trustworthy and flexible with timing arrangements when necessary (he always keeps in touch if he needs to change our meeting time). He is also accommodating as he tailors his programme of study according to my daughter’s needs. Any homework is always marked by the start of the session and feedback is given as well as ways to improve; this makes my daughter to feel supported. Matthew is friendly and he gets along very well with my daughter. Kui feels comfortable with him and she can ask him a question if she doesn’t understand something.
Kui and I look forward to continue working with Matthew and with his help, I believe my daughter will achieve her full potential and attain good grades.
I would 100% recommend Matthew to any parent who needs a tutor for their children.
He has a robust plan of work for my son and I can see my son's confidence growing already. He understands my son's needs and sets work accordingly using the national curriculum. My son looks forward to Matthew coming. Can't recommend Matthew enough.
