I attained high grade A2 levels in Maths (B), Chemistry (A), Drama (B), History (B), Gen Studies (A) at Devonport High school for boys.
I then went to the University of Southampton for three years graduating with a BSc in Mathematics.
I then went to study Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with a PGDipRAM in Musical Theatre.
I am now a professional actor who tutors whilst 'resting'.
I am CRB checked but these have always been done by the institutions I've worked with so I do not have a copy
My work experience at secondary school was taken as a teaching assistant at Quethiock VA Primary in Cornwall for a week, and I was also a voluntary teaching assistant in Drama at Looe Community College from 2005-2006. At the same time I ran a drama club at the weekends for any children who were interested.
Whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music I also attained the LRAM qualification, which means I am an accredited teacher of Musical theatre, though many of the skills are transferrable to academia.
We will work through exercises together with necessary explanations of any themes or rules so that the student fully understands why the answer is correct, then they will be supervised in doing some exercises on their own until they get it. There will be handouts/ exercise sheets/ practise exams to practise on where appropriate. I am adaptable to all levels of ability.
