This is how a referee rated Matt:
I'm a 21 year old musician currently living in London, studying at the LCCM ( London Centre of Contemporary Music ). I currently do function work and also produce and record original music for artists new in the industry. My main instrument is guitar, a instrument I've been playing for 10 years and am more than fluent in most styles of music( except for jazz and classical, genres that I'm learning at the moment ).
I want to teach others because I can help others with learning through my recent personal experiences.
Privately I have tutored in music many friends and people, and I've seen them making great progress in a very short time due to my easy going approach and professional experience. I graduated the Diploma and Higher Diploma courses at the Academy of Contemporary Music with Double Distinctions and the tutors gave me the tools necessary to be a good teacher.
With new students and beginners I always start with the basics and make sure that they know everything they need to progress to the next stage. Besides guitar I teach music theory. Understanding how theory works on the instrument will help them progress at a very fast pace and soon enough they will be good enough to play in bands( of any contemporary style they would like ). With more experienced students the learning material will be more difficult as they will have to learn more subtle things regarding their instrument, but the easy going approach that I have will help them in learning quickly. I was and still am a student, so I know how it is not know things and I can help quite a lot if the person I'm working with truly wants to learn.
