Personal Description:

I am a First Class Engineering Design graduate from the university of Bristol, now working as an engineer in the renewable energy sector. In my time at University I achieved great results including firsts in maths modules and my dissertation.

I attended George Abbot school in Guildford where I obtained A's in Mathematics, Physics and product design and a B in Chemistry, with an A in AS further maths.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had experience tutoring in Maths, Chemistry and Physics up to A-level age, both through First Tutors and other private tutoring companies.

During my A-levels I would provide individual help to students in lower years in Maths and DT-Product Design classes, working with students of ages 11 to 16.

Tutoring Approach:

For younger students my approach tends to involve looking at the work they're covering in school and building upon this in more depth, also highlighting where, as an engineer, it comes in useful in real life examples.

For GCSE and A-Level students, from my personal experience and what I have learnt from my students, I have found that what often needs to be focused on is how best to lay out answers and how to minimise errors. During my sessions with students I tend to provide additional support and depth on topics covered during school focusing on exam techniques and model answers.

I have a flexible approach and like to tailor my tutoring to the learning style of the student.
