Maths and English Lessons in Tower Hamlets

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences and I am now doing my Master's Degree in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine. For my A levels, I took English literature, Biology and RE and an AS in creative writing.

In my RE A levels, I received an A for my religion paper in A2, and a B for my ethics paper in A2, 1 mark away from an A overall. I received a B for Biology and English as well. I have preserved most of my notes from RE and Biology, including some marked essays for RE.

The reason I also put myself forth for arts and crafts is because I can crochet and can help anyone wanting to learn it to a basic level.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in a primary school as a teaching assistant for a year 3 class, so am acclimated to the learning of the age range it is attached to, and supported them with their primary school subjects, including Maths and English. I have previously worked in a tuition centre, helping GCSE students prepare for their exams in English, maths and science.

I have also worked at a different tuition centre, where I helped children from the ages 4-18 years with Maths and English.

Tutoring Approach

I try to bring both professionalism and fun to my teaching style; I am very focused on my students and try very hard to help them to improve on their learning and their points of difficulty. I use funny anecdotes and analogies to explain concepts where applicable, to bring fun into my teaching. I believe this helps to engage the students and allows for them to learn concepts in a different manner, giving them a point of association with what they learnt. Children tend to stay away and avoid the tasks they find difficult but I try to spend a lot of time on those topics, helping them to grasp the concept easier. To sum up, my teaching style is interactive and focused.
