Personal Description:

In summary, I feel that I am a highly qualified and enthusiastic teacher with experience at teaching at all levels. I have the ability to both learn from and motivate those I work with and am a positive strategic thinker and I always aim to focus on bringing about a solution to a problem. I was always in charge of helping new people settle in and ensure they were well cared for. I hope my cheerful and warm disposition enables me to work well with adults and children alike. I am genuinely concerned with the educational advancement of my pupils and always try to think of ways to improve my practice. I am open to change and new ideas and continual professional development.

Tutoring Experience:

Oathall Community School

English language School Hangzhou China

Tutoring Approach:

I am adept at using a range of appropriate teaching and learning styles and the delivery of excellent lessons. I have experience at teaching across all key stages and in recent years I have received ‘outstanding’ in an inspection report from Ofsted. I feel that I have the ability to consistently create a stimulating and inviting working environment which meets the needs of pupils and allows for progression in each lesson. I am adept at producing schemes of work, end of year exams for key stage 3, key word booklets for EAL pupils and resources for all key stages. My creative use of props has often been praised and has been very effective in engaging students. I also engage students by using drama techniques, ICT and other methods to which pupils can relate. In the past pupils have commented that my lessons were ‘exhilarating,’ ‘fun and interesting’. I also try to ensure that the homework I set follows the school’s policy and is interesting and stimulating so as to continue to enthuse pupils outside of the classroom.
