I am a qualified teacher of Modern Languages and I have over 20 years' experience of teaching French and German up to and including GCSE and 'A' level with a proven track record of helping to improve pupils' grades. I also teach Business and recreational French and German to adults, as well as providing in house training courses for companies. Prior to becoming a qualified teacher I was a Bilingual Secretary in industry, providing translating and interpreting services. My grown-up daughters are University Graduates, one is a journalist and the other is a teacher.
My teaching experience has included teaching French and German classes of all abilities and levels within the 11 - 18 year age group at secondary schools. As well as offering one-to-one tuition for GCSE and 'A' level, my pupils include adults wishing to learn French/German for business or personal interest. I have also taught adult evening classes to GCSE level and beginners French at primary schools in after school clubs.
My lessons focus on all four language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. The aim is to make lessons as interactive, interesting and relevant as possible and to ensure that all students achieve their full potential. Whilst using a wide selection of resources and learning aids, lessons are tailored to meet the needs of the individual.
