I am very passionate about my profession and enjoy helping children succeed. The tutoring I can offer from my home in Sutton provides an extra opportunity for children to progress further. I am methodical in my approach to lesson plans, in and outside the classroom, always preparing in advance and have a large range of resources available to help support learning. I have excellent knowledge of the current curriculum and I can teach it effectively to all children. My approach varies from child to child and so each session is personalised to your child's needs and abilities. I am also a firm believer in good behaviour and ensuring that the parents are kept informed of all progress throughout the sessions.
I have over ten years of teaching experience across many ages. As well as being a dedicated class teacher, I have experience as a Key Stage Leader. This role involves being accountable for many year groups across the school and ensuring that targets are being met. I have had experience in both state and primary schools of which I have both enjoyed.
I tutor on a one-to-one basis, as I believe that is the key to supporting the individual needs of each child. My style of tutoring includes a very supportive method ensuring they grasp a full understanding of skills taught. Normally sessions last for an hour but for older children it can be extended.
