Personal Description:

Hello! I am a recent graduate of Oxford University, BA English Language and Literature. I tutor English Language and Literature, for secondary school students up to A-Level, and I can also help with university applications, including personal statements, ELAT exams and interview preparation.

I am also a graduate of the One Year Course in Acting at The Oxford School Of Drama, and am able to provide practical acting and LAMDA lessons as well.

I am London based, and am willing to travel.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked part-time as a private tutor on and off for over three years. The majority of my experience has been with English AS and A-Level students, which suits my teaching skills best, however I have also had experience with GCSE English students, University level English students and with A-Level Theatre Studies students.

I have had successful experience in helping students with university applications, including Oxbridge applications.

I am also experienced in offering practical drama lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

I look to be led 100% by the individual student's needs. I am a very flexible and personable teacher, and I enjoy creating friendly and informal sessions, putting everyone at their ease - this, I believe, gets the best results out of students of any age.
Especially when teaching English Literature, I encourage much open discussion of text, whilst demanding a high level of preparation work. However, I would always look to focus on the areas of study that a student is most struggling with, or that they are most keen to excel in - for example, exam technique sometimes requires the most work, whereas with other students engagement with the text requires more focus.
