Hi I'm Martin. I have 20 years teaching experience in art, art history and most recently, A Level English Language. I can support students in English at GCSE and A Level. Furthermore, I can help with sketchbook and portfolio building for GCSE and A Level Art & Design. I have a Degree and an MA in Art History and I have marked a lot of essays, helping students prepare for study in Higher Education. This means that I understand academic conventions of writing and can support essay writing in most humanities subjects.

I take a learner-centered approach to teaching. I believe it is important to support students' individual needs and learning styles. I measure student's abilities against their aspirations, helping to find the most effective way for them to learn and succeed. Most importantly, I am patient, supportive and a very good listener!
