I am an Oxford University educated Chemistry and Biology teacher of twenty years' standing, currently living in Ludlow, Shropshire, UK.
I have taught Chemistry, Biology and general Science in state secondary, independent prep and senior schools.
I specialise in the teaching of Chemistry at post-16 level including entrance to universities in the UK but also teach at GCSE and IGCSE level. I am up to speed with the new A-Level specifications and would also be able to assist students preparing for the IB exam.
I have worked with students from across the world including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Australia, India, Russia, Nigeria and Brazil as well as the UK.
My students have successfully gained entry to Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group university reading chemistry, biochemistry, medicine and veterinary sciences.
As a Sixth Form tutor, I have also provided help with numerous UCAS personal statements and interview preparation.
I have offered tutoring for several years, primarily to students seeking to improve their performance at Common Entrance, Scholarship, GCSE and A-Level. My tutees have achieved higher grades thanks to my intervention and gone on to enjoy much success in their chosen areas of study.
I can work on a one-to-one, group or online basis and specialise in delivering a friendly, collaborative approach to learning - improving confidence with exam technique as well as increasing subject knowledge.
