Falkirk Tutor

I believe that good tuition should do all the things school cannot do, and have found that time spent one-on-one is worth about 4x time spent in class. One hour per week for a few weeks is usually all it takes to put most students back on track. After that, your ambition is the only limit!

I originally trained as a secondary school English teacher, but for the last 4 years have taught and researched in universities. My PhD is in educational research, with a focus on assessment and feedback. Please note that I do not have experience of teaching Scottish Highers. I mainly offer support for university students and trainee teachers, but can offer GCSE/A-level support if you are struggling to find a suitable tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of St Andrews and have 12 years of teaching experience in UK and international schools, including four years of university lecturing experience. I have also tutored and homeschooled since 2007, with a 100% pass rate.

Tutoring Approach

It isn't about just being better, it's about being different too - private tuition offers opportunities to learn in ways that even private schools are unable to offer.
