Personal Description:

Availability Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends

I am a recent English graduate from Trinity College, University of Cambridge. My special interests include: Greek Tragedy; Shakespeare; medieval literature; contemporary theatre (performance and theory); visual culture; close reading.

Prior to my studies at the University of Cambridge, I completed a Foundation Course in Art & Design with distinction at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design.

Tutoring Experience:

This year I have tutored locally in the Dunmow area. During my studies at Cambridge, I also helped to provide Shakespeare workshops across the East Coast of America with a 3 week touring production of "Much Ado About Nothing".

Tutoring Approach:

Having studied at the University of Cambridge, I understand the benefits of a one-to-one supervision system. Students can explore their interests in far greater depth, build their confidence, develop their argumentation skills, as well as to of course gain a solid theoretical grounding in their subject.

My job as a tutor is to provide tools and support which will allow students to achieve their potential. Above and beyond this, my philosophy is to encourage students to find what excites them about their chosen subject - to remain free thinking, playful, and inquisitive. This, I believe, is one of the keys to academic success.

I am also interested in working with students hoping to pursue further study within the arts, and can provide both mock interviews, advice, and help to prospective candidates.
