Tutoring Experience

Life~Coaching really helped me identify my "Core Values" I now deliver 3 hours core values coaching/awareness..

Delivery of basic ICT to CLAiT, ECDL / ITQ to a variety of adult learners within the scope of "Community Education", also more recently the management of the curriculum and course information sheet design and content population and working very closely with a variety of awarding bodies at management level.
Delivery of small group / 1:1 ICT, citizenship, literacy & numeracy also general "life skills" within a Young Offenders Institute.
Learner Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG) course selection and registration, documentation, teaching, training mentoring and general guidance of learners towards a successful achievement, this included "inclusion groups" of SEN learners, ESOL, and Skills for Life (Basic Skills) literacy & numeracy. Responsible for 100+ learners who I trained on a weekly basis in "outreach" locations Delivery of ICT training via the learn direct model and extending of the learning to where the learners needed it that being in their community and community based venues, this utilised a suite of laptops, portable printers etc. Provision of "On-Line" support for the learndirect learners having completed their required "modules" to provide such support.

Training RAF personnel on how to operate special machinery with winter purpose for snow & ice clearance.
Teaching / Training of newly qualified RAF Mechanical Transport Computer Systems Managers to operate a "Bespoke" computer system.
Teaching / Training of newly qualified RAF personnel in all aspects of the job before their release to work unsupervised.
Driving instruction in the RAF from basic "car" to HGV / LGV class 1, teaching core skill os load restraint (roping & sheeting loading & lashing)

Tutoring Approach:
Open minded to the needs of the learner, once initial assessment of skills and goal setting has been agreed, I will tailor the delivery towards that of the need of the learner, bearing in mind their style or styles of learning. I have a firm but fair with my learners, as it is me who needs keep them on track to meet their goals leading towards positive outcomes, be they:- work, social, domestic or pleasure led learning goals. I have mentoring and coaching qualification and an able to apply "skills" to guide learners on to their goals.
